Children love watching seeds germinate. This is especially true when seeds are sprouting quickly. Alfalfa ( Medicago sativa) is a simple to cultivate seed that will sprout in around a week. Sprinkle a little amount of alfalfa seeds on some wet paper towel and watch them germinate and grow.
What you will need:
A small packet of Alfalfa seeds (about 1.5g).
a saucer or small plate
Three pieces of paper towels
A spray mister , or a small water container
How to grow:
Place 3 sheets of paper towel on a plate.
After that, you should drain the water off the plate. The paper towel should be damp but the seeds shouldn’t be floating in water.
Distribute the seeds evenly over the towel.
To prevent the paper towel from drying out, place it on a window covered with water. Use a mister or spray bottle to dampen the seeds or gently add a small quantity of water into the saucer using an ice cube or a small cup.
You should check your seeds daily to check how they’re growing.
Troubleshooting
