Troubleshooting

Alfalfa can be a very easy to cultivate seed that can germinate in 2 to 6 days. Here are a few things to keep an eye on should your seeds not sprout within this period.

Too dry Seeds require water in order to grow. Alfalfa seeds soak about own weight of water before sprouting, which makes them appear as if they’ve gotten bigger. If the seeds you have are dry, they won’t sprout. Incorporate more water into the plate so the seeds are moist but not floating on the surface. You could also soak your seeds overnight. But be sure to remove them from the dish and wash them thoroughly prior to transferring them to a towel.

Too moist: Seeds that are too wet can cause their roots and shoots to decay before they are able to develop. The seeds can also become mouldy. Although it’s fine for the paper towel and seeds to be damp but they shouldn’t submerge in water. Get rid of any excess water on the dish each time you mist or بذور برسيم حجازي للبيع water your seeds.

Too cold or too hot Alfalfa thrives at 20-25°C. If you’re cultivating your seeds in winter, you can put them in a cool location inside. If you’re cultivating your seeds in extremely warm temperatures, you might need to water the seeds more often because they’ll dry faster.
